Girls Who Code aims to close the gender gap in technology and computer science by offering free coding class for girls in grades 8-12. Through weekly meetings, girls learn the core4 skills (loops, conditionals, variables, and functions) and how technology can be used to address real world problems, all while building relationships with other young women interested in computer science.
UA Girls Who Code meets on Saturdays from 10am-noon during the academic year and will resume in September 2021. Contact Vanessa at VanessaCampbell@arizona.edu with questions or to get signed-up to receiving information on enrolling for the 2021-22 cycle.
