Gender, Race, and The Environment Panel Series
Environmental organizations in the United States systematically lack racial and gender diversity. People of color and women are under-represented in the staff and membership of environmental organizations, especially in leadership and decision-making roles. This panel series explores the barriers people of color and women face to entering, persisting, and succeeding in environmental organizations and movements and highlights some of the exciting work being done locally to create more diverse and inclusive environmental movements. All events will take place from 5:30-7pm and include dinner. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options will be available. Children are welcome at all events!
