The STEM Pipeline Mentorship Program was launched in 2015 as a way to support young women pursuing STEM fields and careers through a peer and near-peer group mentoring structure. We believe that fostering more inclusive and diverse STEM communities relies on both training women in practical skills such as time management, goal-setting, and financial planning and creating networks of women in STEM that are committed to supporting and assisting one another in succeeding. We have bi-monthly meetings composed of skills-based workshops and social events that allow for training, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for program participants to get to know each other and build a network of support. This program is generously funded by the UA Commission on the Status of Women.
